SweepIQ is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information. We never sell your data to third parties.

2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
Account Information
- Name, email address, and password when you create a SweepIQ account
- Profile information you provide (phone number) for account management purposes
Financial Information (via Plaid)
- Bank account balances from your connected checking account
- Transaction history (up to 3 months) used to calculate a suggested target balance for your review
- We do not store your bank login credentials. All bank connectivity is handled by Plaid Technologies, Inc.
Brokerage Information (via OAuth)
- Brokerage account details, portfolio positions, and order history through your connected brokerage account
- OAuth access tokens used to execute trades on your behalf within your brokerage account
- SweepIQ does not collect or store identity verification information such as SSN or date of birth — your brokerage provider handles all KYC/AML requirements directly when you create your brokerage account
Usage Information
- Device type, operating system, and app version
- Push notification tokens for sending account alerts
- App activity logs for debugging and service improvement
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to provide the SweepIQ service:
- To connect your checking account and monitor your balance via Plaid
- To notify you when your balance exceeds or falls below your configured target, and to automatically purchase securities in your brokerage account based on your configured rules when funds are available
- To calculate a suggested target balance based on your spending history for your review and configuration
- To send push notifications and email alerts about your account activity
- To verify your identity as required by financial regulations
- To provide customer support
- To comply with applicable laws and regulations
We do not use your financial data for advertising, marketing profiling, or any purpose other than operating the SweepIQ service for you.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only with the following service providers as necessary to operate SweepIQ:
- Plaid Technologies, Inc. — bank account connectivity and transaction data. Subject to Plaid's Privacy Policy.
- Alpaca Securities LLC — brokerage account services and trade execution (supported integration partner). Subject to Alpaca's Privacy Policy.
- Resend — transactional email delivery (password resets, account notifications).
- RevenueCat — subscription management and billing.
- Render — cloud infrastructure and hosting.
We may also disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:
- Encryption of data in transit using TLS/HTTPS
- Encryption of sensitive data at rest, including OAuth tokens and bank connection tokens
- Secure authentication with hashed passwords and multi-factor authentication
- OAuth 2.0 for brokerage account connectivity — we never store your brokerage login credentials
- Access controls limiting who can access your data

6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it by law (for example, for tax or regulatory compliance purposes).
Bank balance and transaction data fetched via Plaid is retained only as long as necessary to provide the SweepIQ service. Cached balance data is refreshed regularly and stale data is overwritten.
7. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access — You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction — You may request that we correct inaccurate information.
- Deletion — You may request that we delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Disconnection — You may disconnect your bank account or close your SweepIQ account at any time through the app.

8. Children's Privacy
SweepIQ is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us immediately.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the app. Your continued use of SweepIQ after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
